Dateline September 19, 1998, Arcadia, California. Things were really shaking (in a good sense) at the Los Angeles Historical Bottle Club’s 32nd Annual Show & Sale at the Arcadia, California Masonic Lodge.
According to club member Gary Butrick the club had 40 tables and many people passed through the front door. There was a variety of items at the show including bottles, jars, advertising and related glass collectibles like insulators. Also this year was the best ever for display tables. There were ten displays with everything from bottles, jars, flower frogs, dog tags, irons, washboards to and including some very heavy inanimate objects called bricks.
This has been a good location for the club’s show, the lighting is greatly improved over past venues and Arcadia is centrally located for the collectors in the five county area of Los Angeles and vicinity. Club participation was good with most members pitching in to help with the show.
